How did you get started with web design? I always wanted to do anything which is associated with colors or art. In the year 2009, it had been almost a year since I completed a Bachelors of Engineering and was sitting idle in a park alone late at night. One of my college friends texted me and asked if I was free to attend a 1 week free class for designing. I said yes! Boom! That was the starting point of my career.
What do you love about working for Thrive so far?
I love the diversity & transparency. Even though I work remote, my team-mates inspire me to deliver my best each and every time I take up a project.
When you’re not at work, how do you spend your time?
I spend most of my time with my family. I am also a singer, I spend the rest of my time practicing singing.
If you could turn anything into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance of winning a gold medal for?
Losing my headsets! I have lost about 10 now this year!
What would be your karaoke go-to song and what setting would we likely find you singing it in?
There is a lot! For sure you won’t know, since it’s a regional Indian-language song. Right now it’s a song from a movie called “Kanaa” and its called Othayadi Pathayila
Where did you grow up and what is special about that place?
I grew up in Chennai but most of my childhood holidays I spent in a place called “Trichy”. Every morning myself and my cousins would walk to a river nearby called “Cauvery” to take a bath and come back after a couple of hours.
If you were in a room with three billionaires, what would you ask them and why?
I would ask how did they become billionaires. And if any of them started from scratch.
If you could invite three people to dinner (dead or alive), who would be at the table and why?
No celebrities for sure! My dad, mom & wife. I have never had dinner together with all of them.
