How did you get started with web project management?
Before joining Thrive, I was a Marketing and PR Consultant at Baylor Scott & White. Jack, our web project director, told me he thought I’d be a great addition to the web project management team, and when a position became available, I applied.
What do you love about working for Thrive so far?
I love our Web team! They provide so much support and comradery that can’t be matched.
When you’re not at work, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy baking, reading, spending time with my dogs and watching sports; specifically football and soccer. I also love trying new coffee shops and brunch spots around the Dallas area with friends. My husband has his own gym, Millers Muscles and Makeovers, and I enjoy helping when I can as well.
If you could turn anything into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance of winning a gold medal for?
I would have a good chance of winning a gold medal in turning non-gluten free recipes into gluten-free recipes since my husband cannot eat gluten. This was a big adjustment for me because I love pastries and pasta so much, but I found a way that we both can continue to enjoy them.
What would be your karaoke go-to song and what setting would we likely find you singing it in?
Total Eclipse of the Heart
If you could be any character from any book or movie, who would you be?
I would be Jo March from Little Women. This is one of my favorite books, and I feel like we are kindred spirits.
Where did you grow up and what is special about that place?
I grew up in Rowlett, TX. I have so many memories with friends and family that Rowlett will always hold a special place in my heart.
If you were in a room with three billionaires, what would you ask them and why?
What tips and tricks could you provide as to how you became a billionaire? Every billionaire has a story, so I’d want to hear each of theirs.
If you could invite three people to dinner (dead or alive), who would be at the table and why?
1. Gordon Ramsay would be my first invite because he could cook the meal, and enjoy it with me.
2. Abby Wambach is my favorite athlete, so I’d love to chat about her experiences.
3. A.A. Milne; he wrote Winne the Pooh which has my favorite characters. Hearing how he came up with this story and characters would be such a treat.
