Name/title: Allie Radler – SEO Strategist
Home office: North Attleboro, MA
Family and pets: I have a husband, Jake, and a 6-month-old puppy, Toby!
Start date at Thrive: 7/15/19
How did you get started with SEO?
My first “real job” after college was as an Inbound Marketing Specialist, so I spent most of my time copywriting for blog posts, website content, social posts, and press releases for clients. When I started, I didn’t know what SEO even stood for. But, then I was taught how to do keyword research and write SEO-friendly copy, how to set up WordPress websites in a crawler-friendly way, etc. Slowly but surely as I got more familiar with SEO, I was hooked!
What do you love about working for Thrive so far?
The people! I think it would be pretty easy while working remote to feel like you’re on your own and not part of a larger team. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth here. I really feel like I’ve joined an awesome team where everyone can learn from and help each other!
When you’re not at work, how do you spend your time?
I like to spend my free time baking, going to the beach (during the 3 months of the year it’s warm enough to do so in MA), and going to wineries. Our puppy has also been keeping us very busy in our free time lately!
If you could turn anything into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance of winning a gold medal for?
Quoting lines from The Office.
What would be your karaoke go-to song and what setting would we likely find you singing it in?
Sweet Caroline – Mostly because everyone else usually gets into it and sings along, so it would take some attention away from just my voice singing it. This song is best sung in Boston bars!
Where did you grow up and what is special about that place?
I grew up in Shrewsbury, MA, which is a pretty typical suburb about an hour west of Boston. Fun fact about Shrewsbury: white chocolate was invented there!
If you were in a room with three billionaires, what would you ask them and why?
Do they have a spare boat or beach house they’d like to give me?
If you could invite three people to dinner (dead or alive), who would be at the table and why?
Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow… so I could be one of the Friends for a day!
