Project Overview
A leading provider of quality control instruments specializing in abrasion and durability testing equipment partnered with Thrive Internet Marketing Agency to steadily increase its leads year over year (YoY) and boost brand awareness.
The company’s current owner inherited the Thrive partnership from the previous owners and later sought to expand its digital strategy by adding an eCommerce element to its website.
In the past, the client had to generate quotes manually for all website purchases. Thrive customized their shipping options through the UPS Shipping plugin for WordPress so that customers could purchase directly online instead of having to speak with the owner over the phone.
Since the eCommerce feature launched in early 2024, the client received 33 website purchases in the first six months of the shop going live. Additionally, Thrive’s combined SEO and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising strategies resulted in a staggering 103% boost in Google Ads conversions YoY and a 450% uptick in total organic conversions YoY.

Year-over-year comparisons revealed substantial improvements in the client’s PPC campaign performance. Three out of four enabled campaigns saw an increase in clicks, with two top contributing campaigns driving 11% of the clicks increase.

The Execution
To help the client achieve its growth objectives, Thrive implemented a comprehensive digital strategy focused on SEO, PPC and web development. The primary goals were to increase brand visibility and improve lead generation and eCommerce sales performance.

Search Engine Optimization
Thrive worked closely with the client to create fresh, optimized content emphasizing the originality of its main product, Rub Tester. This helped boost organic search rankings, increase site traffic and establish the client as an industry leader.
Web Development
Thrive’s web development team integrated an eCommerce solution using WooCommerce, allowing customers to purchase accessories directly online. A customized UPS shipping plugin was also implemented to handle the client’s complex shipping needs and ensure cost-effective delivery options for customers.
Pay-Per-Click Advertising
Thrive optimized the client’s search campaigns by evaluating geographic performance and reallocating budgets to the most profitable regions. Once the eCommerce feature was implemented, conversion tracking was established to monitor online sales and refine ad strategies for maximum return on investment (ROI).
The partnership between Thrive and the client continues to grow, with plans to expand into organic social media marketing and further optimize existing channels.
