Project Overview
Liberty Moving, a moving company based in New York, partnered with Thrive Internet Marketing Agency to grow its brand presence in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The company approached Thrive a few months after launching its new website with a previous company that had severely hurt its organic rankings due to improper sitemap implementation.
Thrive took a local search engine optimization (SEO) approach and focused on building service location pages to improve the client’s organic search rankings across target locations. It took six months to see growth in a down market, but with consistent and laser-focused optimization, Liberty Moving saw significant improvements month over month (MoM).
Form fills and submissions grew by 70%, providing a steady stream of potential clients. Additionally, the company gained a 135% increase in the top 10 keyword rankings and went from being positioned below the second page for “Queens Moving Company” to the 3rd position.

Keywords in the top 5 rankings grew from only 303 in March 2023 to 4,718 in March 2024 – a whopping 1,457% boost.

The Execution
Thrive conducted a rankings and content audit to determine which pages generated the most organic traffic and identify high-priority keywords for which we needed to create new content. We used this data to develop and implement a local SEO strategy that involved:
- Monthly technical SEO audits to identify and fix ongoing issues
- Creating new, targeted content based on the identified high-priority keywords
- Optimizing existing content to improve relevance and search visibility
