Project Overview
An upcoming brand in the food and beverage industry approached Thrive Internet Marketing Agency with the goal of establishing dominance in the kava shot space on Amazon. The client had previously worked with Thrive for other businesses and sought a similar success story with their new venture.
The client wanted to create a strong presence on Amazon through optimized listings, targeted advertising strategies and a focus on bulk sales. Thrive Implemented a multi-faceted approach to help this all-natural nootropics seller achieve its goals.
Three months into the partnership, the client achieved an impressive 3X return on ad spend (ROAS) and over $11,000 in ad revenue.
The Results

3X
Return on Ad Spend
The client set ambitious revenue goals for its first year of sales on Amazon, aiming to hit $9,000 in revenue within the first three months – and Thrive exceeded that goal.
Thrive’s strategic advertising led to a 3X ROAS and over $11,000 in ad revenue during the first quarter. The campaign also generated 408 conversions and the click-through rate (CTR) on their ads doubled.
These remarkable results strengthened the relationship between Thrive and the client, showcasing Thrive’s ability to not only deliver results but also build long-lasting partnerships.
The Execution
The client entered a competitive market with a premium-priced product. The biggest challenge was positioning the product as the best choice over low-cost alternatives.
Additionally, due to the nature of kava being a supplement, getting the product listed and approved on Amazon proved to be a complex process, with listings being taken down and reinstated multiple times.
Thrive’s Amazon advertising strategy involved:
Listings Optimization
Thrive created a fully optimized Amazon listing with one parent product and four child variations. High-impact A+ content and brand store pages were developed to highlight the client’s unique selling points (USPs) and justify the higher price of its product.
Lifestyle Imagery
We emphasized the product’s USPs through lifestyle images that resonated with potential buyers and increased brand trust.
Focused Advertising
Thrive prioritized advertising efforts on bulk packages rather than single-shot products, recognizing bulk packages as more profitable in the long run. A strategic approach was used to slowly scale the ad spend while maintaining a positive ROAS.
Amazon Posts and Content Management
We initiated Amazon posts to engage consumers and keep the brand top of mind. Our team also closely managed the content, adjusting as needed to ensure compliance with Amazon’s listing policies.
