This is a full-time position with expected work hours between 8:30 am – 5:30 pm which offers you the opportunity to work remotely from home.

HERE IS WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for an exceptional Web Engineer who will act as a sales leader for web projects at Thrive. This person will be responsible for attending Sales calls and discussing the Client’s needs with their web project. This includes understanding the full scope of the project, translating the full scope of the project into a quote, and making sure the client understands what we will be delivering them. Once a full scope is determined and a proposal is signed, you will need to have the ability to relay that information to the delivery team, which includes a Project Manager, Designer, and Developer.
HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Attend Sales Calls:
The Web Engineer will attend all sales meetings when ‘Web’ is part of what the client is interested in discussing.
Craft a Complete Scope of Work:
When meeting with the Client, the Web Engineer will need to walk the Client through the entire scope of the project and advise on what will make the end product successful. This includes asking 2nd, 3rd, and 4th level questions related to the Client’s goals for the project.
Explaining the Web Process:
The Web Engineer will be responsible for going over the Web Process. This includes each stage of our web process, terms & conditions, Add-ons, Timeline, and our ‘Pause Clause’. This is vital to the success of every project and helps our team properly manage capacity.
Craft Custom Strategies:
In addition to the scope of work, the Web Engineer will be required to assist in the Handoff Meeting by providing input to the delivery team on possible solutions to potential issues, providing risk factors, and helping finalize a plan for the project.
Create Positive Client Experiences:
As the face of the company to our web projects, the Web Engineer will be required to maintain stellar customer service skills and clearly set proper expectations.
Weekly Meetings with Web Team Director and Digital Marketing Engineer:
Each week, you will meet with the Web Team Director & Digital Marketing Engineer to discuss upcoming projects, quote assist, and ways to improve the quoting process.
Document, Organize, and Improve:
The Web Engineer will be required to keep detailed notes on all Clients. Since some clients can take months to sign a proposal, it’s vital to organize your notes and can easily get a full understanding of a project, once a proposal is signed.
Thrive Team Collaboration:
Ongoing communication with Web Team and Thrive management on project development, timelines, and results to ensure when new projects can start in the event the Web Team is at or over capacity.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in WordPress development
- Minimum 4 years of design experience
- Sales Experience a PLUS
- Exceptional understanding of HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP
- Experience with Laravel, AngularJS, ReactJS, and other technologies a PLUS
- Good understanding of web application architectures
- Good understanding of hosting environments
- Experience with external system integrations
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices
- Working knowledge of internet marketing best practices
- Experience managing business owner/client interactions to help define
requirements, scoping while sizing projects
- Experience defining technical guidelines, best practices, and performance
- Knowledge of WooCommerce and Shopify is required
- Familiar with tools like Google Apps and Teamwork is a PLUS
- Knowledge of Web Project Planning is a PLUS
